On the Move (almost)

Well, I've officially jumped on the bandwagon. Blogging... I never thought I'd attempt, yet somehow I'm excited to officially declare myself the southern girl enthralled with life in the city and all fads surrounding it. I'm packed (at least most of the way) and staring at my calendar countdown as it ticks at what seems to be an exponentially fast rate. This is where I'm going to occasionally post updates on whatever it is that I'm doing at the time..... sounds boring, I know.

Last night, my home boy aka dad and I headed into downtown Nashville and had dinner at Sambuca in the Gulch; after a walk to Third Man Records (Jack White if you're out there ily) and sweating too much for comfort, we made our way to TPAC and saw Leslie Odom Jr. make hundreds of fans melt with his ridiculously incredible talent. He opened with my favorite Hamilton song and I only cried twice- a feat uncommon for everything criers like myself. We walked down Broadway for a while, basking in the glory of music venues that I'm too young to get into and listening to songs that remind me of home.

Fast forward to now, I'm sitting in my Dad's Allstate training, bloated beyond belief from eating a home-cooked southern buffet at Monell's, and internally obsessing over the schedule of the next few days. Last night with Mom tonight, last night at Dad's tomorrow, and the journey to my year at NYU DC begins Friday morning. I'm excited, I'm nervous, but more importantly I'm ready to go to the school of my dreams (and maybe a little conflicted about living three blocks from Donald Trump....).
